Senior Service Sales Manager, Aarhus

With focus on complex service contracts and legal documents/procedures within the offshore industry

As Senior Service Sales Manager you are part of the operations support organisation at MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S and your main responsibility is to secure service contracts being involved in the tender and negotiation processes for large offshore wind projects. You are responsible for leading the negotiation of service contracts as well as drafting the contracts with a high degree of details to secure that the contracts are in accordance with all requirements.

The Senior Service Sales Manager reports to the VP Operations Support.

Primary areas of responsibility are e.g. to:

  • Be one of the central stakeholders, facing the customers directly, in close corporation with other stakeholders from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind sales department.
  • Be a central contact for the Bid Management team, including contact and support from internal experts, through the entire project process from starting the relationship, the bidding and negotiation phases to the final signoff – hereby making sure that service contracts are fully sold and integrated.
  • Be the project leader of both the process and the formal contract, which means all aspects of developing and drafting customer-specific solutions – ensuring that the contracts are in accordance to the requirements of the individual offshore project.
  • Work continuously to improve standards for managing the planning, follow-up and report progress due to the long-term sales process, internally across stakeholders / departments involved in the negotiation of the project sale.
  • Align the service sales content with all internal / external stakeholders – including construction, technical, HSE and QA customer requirements, risk assessment.
  • Secure compliance with MHI Vestas Offshore’s internal processes and guidelines.

You have a high level of contractual understanding combined with commercial business insight. Your educational background is most likely Export Engineering or similar. You have at least 5 years of professional experience with complex contracts, project management and international customers. Ideally, you have gained experience within the offshore industry or from power plants, infrastructure, construction or similar. Experience with legal documents and procedures will be an extra plus.

You are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken – German would be advantageous.

As a person, you are able to navigate and switch between facing large international customers in a negotiation process and translating this knowledge into a contractual context with a high degree of details articulating the consequences of a technical service solution from a commercial and contractual point of view.
